Jamelle started at Pleasant Lake UMC November 1, 2024. With her Bachelor Degree in Mathematics from Purdue University, she started her adult life as a high school math teacher, moved her way into alternative education programming and ended her time in education as a campus coordinator at an alternative school. After leaving in education, she founded and directed a non-profit, Reason 4 Hope. Reason 4 Hope was a family and youth outreach ministry based in LaGrange County, Indiana. In 2022 she earned a Master's Degree in Leadership and Evangelism from Wheaton College and felt it was time to move out of the nonprofit world. She started a leadership and team development coaching and consulting business, Lead and Impact, and began filling the pulpit at churches around the area. She had been preaching in churches since 2007, even serving a United Church of Christ monthly since 2011, as well as speaking in schools and to groups for over 15 years. In the early summer of 2024 she felt called into pastoral ministry. She will be completing her Master of Divinity from Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary in May of 2027.
Jamelle lives on the family farm in LaGrange with her two dogs, Bella and Molly. Her only daughter, Cali, lives in Porter, IN and works for Dunes Learning Center. In her freetime you can find her riding her e-bike, hiking, visiting with family, traveling, reading and making silly videos for her social media.
